Review PROFIBUS/PROFINET Seminar in Thaiand!
The Seminar in Bangkok, Thailand was a great success which attracted a total of 120 participants.
The Seminar was supported by ABB, Bartec, Leoni, Masstron, Posital Fraba, Phoenix Contact, Pepperl+Fuchs, Siemens and Turck. These companies provided live demonstrations to showcase innovative roducts and solutions at a Microfair held during the Seminar, when participants
had the opportunity for face to face discussions with experts.
The Seminar had three parts; news and market updates with the latest news on PROFIBUS/PROFINET Technology; a PROFIBUS Block with presentations on Installations and Best Practices; and a PROFINET Block with presentations on innovative Industrial Ethernet Solutions as well as the new features available in the Automation Market.

PROFIBUS Certified Engineer Training in Singapore!
The \'Certified PROFIBUS Engineer\' course is a world wide recognized training program.
It has been founded to create a quality platform for PROFIBUS qualified engineers who are acknowledged by an official exam.
Dennis van Booma from Procentec Netherlands, conducted a successful Certified PROFIBUS Engineer training session in Singapore.
10 Engineers from a variety of industries all over ASEAN attended the training to learn the true essence of PROFIBUS DP and PA. They all passed the exam and are now ready to serve their region.

Successful standardization in Korea!
Korea PROFIBUS Association (KPA) and PI (PROFIBUS & PROFINET International) have succeeded in standardizing their technologies in South Korea. On December 30, 2011, the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) announced both PROFINET and PROFIBUS as Korean standards (Korean Standards Nos. KS C 61784-1, KS C 61158-3-3, KS C 61158-4-3, KS C 61158-5-3, and KS C 61158-6-3 were assigned for PROFIBUS DP and PA, and KS C 61784-1, KS C 61784-2, KS C 61158-5-10, and KS C 61158-6-10 were assigned for PROFINET).
